ismihan uddin-board member

Ismihan is a junior at the University of Illinois at Chicago majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Sociology. She is conducting research at the UIC College of Medicine, and has received numerous awards including the Gold Medal Honors Award at the UICCOM Research Forum, Herbert E. Paaren Chemistry Award, Honors College grants, LASURI grants, UIC Flames Scholarship, and Cognella Cares Scholarship. Ismihan also works as a medical assistant, tutor, and volunteer teacher at the American Muslim Community Organization. Ismihan enjoys learning about global sociological inequalities, and novel solutions to those problems; she was also a representative at the European Union Public Health and Migration Student Conference in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Following graduation, she hopes to pursue her MD degree.
